Our Department was first established with the Medical College in 1983 as one of the major teaching depatments. Its own Master program started in 1990, running in parallel is an integrated Doctoral program offered in Basic Medical Science. We are physically located on the 7th floor of the Basic Medical Sciences Building. We now teach 6 different Physiology courses to undergraduates in the Medical College. In addition we offer over 30 advanced courses in physiology to all graduates in the University. We have currently M.Sc. and Ph.D. students in our Department and so far we have produced nearly 110 graduates since the program's inception in 1990. Many of our graduates have found new careers in teaching, research or further education within Taiwan and abroad.
