研究方向及興趣(影音):

本實驗室主要有三個研究方向:
一、缺氧誘導因子(HIF-1α)調控基因與癌症抗藥性之研究。細胞因為缺氧會產生種種不同的生理反應或病理變化,包括學習記憶、癌症、心血管疾病、生長遲緩、腦部疾病、肺部疾病等。我們利用生物資訊學的方法,將基因體中會受缺氧誘導因子調控之基因(包括人類、大鼠、小鼠)找尋出來,並研究其在生理、病理上的功能,尤其著重在癌症抗藥性方面的探討,目前以大腸癌胰臟癌的抗藥性機制為重點
二、研究整個基因體的調控(Gene regulatory network)及細胞分化、去分化及再分化的機轉。表觀基因體調控(epigenomic modification and reprograming)對細胞之命運影響至巨,甚或造成細胞病變。我們利用生物資訊學、功能性基因體學、系統生物學等尖端方法,對此一現象作深入的研究
三、探討子宮內膜異位 (endometriosis)成因之分子機制。子宮內膜異位症約佔生殖年齡期婦女人數的10-15%,大部分會導致不孕症的發生,目前有關子宮內膜異位形成之原因,並不清楚。本實驗室過去十幾年的研究,在這個領域已有相當傑出的成果,居於世界領先地位,未來將著重在整合性基因功能上的研究,期盼能發展出可以治療這個疾病的方法或藥物。
